Tigh Faire

I bought Tigh Faire in Tobermory in May 1992 for £63,000.  £35,000 mortuage and an advance on Mill cottage by my parents who wanted to move up to Mull.  My dad was dying of a cancer produced by Asbestos in the early 1020’s

The house was located bang opposite to the school, which was convenient to say the least.  It needed some work doing on it, but not too much to stop me getting a mortgage.  Timmy Weekenborg, a local GP became my wife and Tom was born in October 1993.

We sold the house to Tim Williams in 2013, but we produced the mortguage for him to pay off over 20 years, however it was again sold to the guy who owned the Western Isles  and final payments are due in August 2026
