Greenhouse Road was the home of my early childhood and remains so until we moved to Thorne Road in 1964. My dad had a workshop at the back of the garage and it was an immaculate example of a model engineers palace.
The images below were actually takin in his Bournemouth workshop, but the layout was identicle.
At 27 Greenhouse Road [next door} lived Tom and Jean Webster. He was responsible for my interest in gardens and Jean for Music. Each Sunday morning I would head off theough a hole in the fence to have morning coffee, listen to the Mikado and go and help in the garden. The gingham custains would open and I would go around. My mum worked most Sundays at Fairfield nursingf home as a theatre sister.
